Ranking of the main business newspaper in the country, Valor Econômico, recognizes the results of the main companies in the market.

Launched this Tuesday (20th), the 19th edition of the Valor 1000 ranking evaluated the performance of the thousand largest companies operating in the Brazilian market, in eight criteria: net revenue, EBITDA margin, profitability, activity margin, current liquidity, active turnover, interest coverage and sustainable growth. The survey followed the methodology developed by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and was based on figures obtained by Serasa Experian.

In the “Water and Sanitation” category, Aegea occupies the 5th position in the sector’s ranking, led by Sabesp. Highlight for the EBITDA Margin, category in which the company ranked 4th in its segment.

In the general list, a survey based on the net revenue of companies in all categories, Aegea was also highlighted, having risen 55 positions in the annual variation of the ranking. The company won the 285th position, with net revenue of R $ 2.7 billion in 2018.
