The Aegea Saneamento units responsible for the sanitary sewage system in Serra and Vila Velha, in Espírito Santo, won the Resgata Seal – National Seal of Social Responsibility for Work in the Prison System.

The seal, conferred by the Ministry of Justice, Public Security and the National Penitentiary Department, represents the public and social recognition of companies and organizations in the country that incorporate detainees in their work teams, who serve alternative sentences or those who have left the prison system. Currently, Ambiental Serra and Ambiental Vila Velha have fourteen graduates hired from the prison system.

“It is with great pride that we received the recognition of a company that creates opportunities for people who often suffer prejudice and difficulty in reestablishing themselves in the job market, even after the fulfillment of their sentences”, the firm Radamés Casseb, CEO of the company.

This achievement reinforces Aegea’s commitment to seeking actions and initiatives that go beyond the provision of basic sanitation services and thus generate positive social impacts on the population of the cities where the company operates.
