Yearbook recognizes the largest companies in the market

Exame Maiores e Melhores Yearbook 2019 this week recognized the 500 largest companies operating in the Brazilian market, according to the published financial statements and questionnaires prepared by the largest business magazine in the country. In total, 20 companies were awarded as leaders in 22 categories of the economy.

Aegea, once again stands out within the rankings of infrastructure and more specifically sanitation. In this edition of the list, which has been published by Exame since 1974, the group occupies the 200th position. This result is a reflection of the company’s continued effort in its financial viability, “Aegea has a long-term vision, which aims to contribute to the development of the country by promoting a new participation of foreign capital to enable important investments in sanitation to improve quality. people’s lives and advancing the economy, ”says Flávio Crivellari, CFO of the group.

The first place in the Infrastructure category was CEDAE, the State Water and Sewage Company of Rio de Janeiro – which is currently going through a decisive moment, in view of a process of privatization of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro’s sanitation.

The award ceremony held in the São Paulo Hall of the city’s Municipal Orchestra was attended by the State Governor, João Doria, and the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, who in their opening speeches of the event highlighted the executives present there, political efforts to revive the economy, with the concession and privatization agenda as an important pillar to guarantee the necessary investments to improve the competitiveness of the local market, in addition to the positive prospects for the future.
