The municipality of Piracicaba, where Aegea operates through a concessionaire Mirante, is for the third consecutive year at the top of the Universalization of Sanitation Ranking of the Brazilian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ABES), launched in June.
With a maximum score of 500 points, the city of São Paulo with about 300 thousand inhabitants, leads the list with almost two thousand cities of more than 100 thousand people, which
the rates of coverage and expansion of the water and sewage treatment network were analyzed, in addition to the level of disease occurrences due to the absence of these basic services.
