The program De Olho no Óleo is carried out in schools and aims to make students aware of the environmental damage caused by the dumping of oil into the sewage system and encourage recycling. The work takes place together with the environmental education program Health Note 10.
The campaign is developed by different concessions of Aegea and aims to turn students into multipliers and aware them of the environmental damage caused by the dumping of oil into the sewage system.
The purpose of the campaign is to motivate the collection of used cooking oil at home, educating in a way that they understand the damage this product causes to the network of collection and treatment of sewage.
The idea is to provide the proper disposal of the collected oil, which will be forwarded to the Solidary Recycler Program, formed by a cooperative of waste pickers, collaborating so that they can expand their income from the sale of oil to a company that recycles both the product and the plastic bottle in which it is put up for donation.
