Aegea has debuted at “Valor” ranking among the thousand largest companies in Brazil. The Equipav Group´s holding gained prominence as the second largest company in the sector ranking and won first place in the criteria “Value generation”, “Current Liquidity” and “Attractiveness Margin.”

Aegea, a sanitation holding company, makes its debut on Valor 1000

Aegea Saneamento e Participações makes its debut on 2013 edition of the ranking Valor 1000, amongst the thousand acting companies in the country. Besides being placed at second in the sector, Aegea has conquered the first position in criteria such as “Value generation”, “Current Liquidity” and “Attractiveness Margin”.

Aegea manages public concessions, operating the entire cycle of water use – supply and sewage collection and treatment. It currently holds a relevant stake of the private market and it is responsible for 600 thousand households spread across 26 municipalities.

In order to take advantage of a market that embraces 95% of Brazilian municipalities run by State-companies, and still account on a low level of capital required, Aegea has stepped onto Services Sector by exploiting its long-term-acquired expertise in Operation through a company named Nacional Água e Saneamento, located in Penha, in the state of Santa Catarina.

By entering this new market, the company will disburse its knowledge regarding efficiency and reduction of physical Losses, commercial management and distribution. Technological development and constant improvements on its process have also been essential resources to maintain the quality and excellence on its provided services.

The holding currently holds 15% of the Private Market Share operating in 26 municipalities in five states: Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Santa Catarina.
